Argh! Hulk smash! That about sums up this awesome outing, founded on a singular
premise: annihilate everything in sight. Watch as old mean green himself—so
detailed here you can see his emerald-colored pecs ripple—levels military bases
and living cityscapes. Ambulances swerve, civilians scream, and buildings
crumble with a roar in 5.1 surround as you lay waste to water towers, hurl trees
at helicopters, and wield signposts as makeshift clubs. Between the gorgeous
yellows and reds that accompany each subwoofer-shaking explosion, the
powerplants that collapse amidst crackling electricity, and the pavement that
cracks when you land from mighty leaps, the action is epic stuff.
Scaling
skyscrapers or barreling through tanks and buses with ease, one can’t help but
admire the 720p visuals, resplendent in their ultra-violence. Create shockwaves
with a slap. Scale skyscrapers, watching the walls collapse beneath your touch.
Pick up soldiers or policeman and punt them into the ether. Anything goes––you
can even shred cars and use them as brass knuckles. Frankly, animated bloodshed
has never looked better … well, apart from the hero’s tattered, too-tight jean
shorts.
