Not to be outdone, Ovation Software, creator of the Avia test DVD, has announced it will release Avia Pro. This $400, six-disc set contains nearly 1,000 newpatternswith3,000variations–everything you need for a weekend of entertainment. Also included are discs containing material from the Consumer Electronics Association’s standard method of measurement for DVD players; the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineer’s monitoring technology test signals; RPG Acoustic Corp.’s Room Optimizer and Room Sizing software programs; and test patterns from Genesis Microchip for testing scalar and video processor performance. The whole package was scheduled for release by Christmas 2003.
