Anthem Introduces Two New Amplifiers in Their New Statement Lineup
By Caster Communications for Krell
06/03/2004

On the heels of the Statement D1 home theater preamplifier/processor, Anthem introduces the Statement P2 and P5 – two-channel and five-channel amplifiers. These amplifiers blend performance with high-end styling to recreate the powerful dynamics of today’s movie and music soundtracks.

Many high-end amplifiers use only one power supply, resulting in reduction of maximum power output and overall efficiency when all of the amplifier’s channels are driven. The P2 and P5 amplifiers feature dual, autonomous power supplies on each channel, allowing the amplifiers to deliver stable and continuous power regardless of the number of channels driven, according to Anthem.

Anthem engineered the P2 and P5 to perform like independent monoblock amplifiers. Each channel is self-contained on its own chassis with glass-epoxy circuit board and heatsink. Each channel also benefits from its own independent power supply. Regardless of whether one channel or all channels are operating, there is no penalty in performance, even when all channels are operating at maximum output according to Anthem. The P2 and P5 also feature fourteen bipolar outputs per channel.
