Dish Network, a leading provider of satellite television service, has
partnered with and made a substantial investment into Archos, a global
manufacturer of portable digital media players. Under the terms of the
partnership, Dish Network will invest $9 million into Archos, who in turn will
provide portable digital video recorder technology and portable media player
products for the satellite company’s service. Products may be available early
this fall.
