The
Vision Model 60 optical light
engine design, which incorporates three D-ILA chips rather than a single-chip
design, minimizes image distortion, and the “rainbow effect” that often
compromises the quality of single-chip displays. Vidikron engineers also paid
careful attention to accurate gray scale tracking and true 6500K color
reproduction, which are essential to producing smoother pictures that replicate
the quality of real film.
With
1000 ANSI lumens of light output (CSMS™ Light Output of 17.9 ft-Lamberts) and a
contrast ratio of 800:1, the Model 60 delivers bright and detailed images on
screens as large as eight feet wide. The Model 60 features Vidikron's
outstanding internal video processing with 3:2 film detection circuitry, and its
full HDTV compatibility (with outboard tuner/decoder or satellite receiver) make
it versatile enough to handle any video source. The projector’s discrete IR and
RS-232 controls make custom installation seamless, while direct source and
aspect ratio selection accommodate any automation control system.
