Velodyne Velodyne Introduces the Powerful, Small and Affordable MiniVee Subwoofer
by Velodyne PR
11/2/05

Velodyne
Morgan Hill, CA (November 2, 2005) - Velodyne Acoustics, Inc., recently announced the introduction of the MiniVee™ subwoofer, a product designed for price conscious consumers who still want loud, deep bass performance out of a small cabinet. The MiniVee carries a suggested retail price of $999.

Coming in just over 10" high, the MiniVee can be easily hidden or integrated into any room décor. The MiniVee delivers the deep, powerful, low-distortion bass Velodyne is known for by featuring a Class D digital amplifier providing 2000 watts dynamic power (1000 watts RMS) coupled with an 8" Kevlar-reinforced cone driven by a massive 12.7 lb. magnet structure. Other features of the MiniVee include a 2.5" 4-layer copper wound voice coil, oversized spider and vented pole piece. The MiniVee is finished in a stylish black matte vinyl.

"The MiniVee is small, but only in size, not in power or performance," said Bruce Hall, president of Velodyne. "It features all the latest amplifier and driver technology that Velodyne is famous for and with its long, linear excursion capability, produces deeper, louder bass with lower distortion for both music and movies."

The MiniVee is available now from authorized Velodyne dealers for $999.
