Lumagen had plenty to talk about at CEDIA, what with several external video
processors to show, ranging from the VisionDVI ($999) to the VisionProHDP
($2,499). Most interesting, though, was its announcement that the Radiance
product, due out in the summer of 2006, will include the Silicon Optix Realta
HQV video processing engine. The Realta processing will add an extra level of
sophistication to Lumagen’s scalers, most of which can already upconvert
standard-definition signals to 1080p levels.
